As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on a year of growth, innovation, and collaboration at SilverServers. Here's a month-by-month overview of the highlights and milestones we've achieved together.

January

  • Live Streaming Initiatives: We launched our first Instagram Live session, marking an exploration of new ways to reach small businesses through social media.
  • Enhanced SEO Reporting: Our development team revamped the SEO reporting system, resulting in cleaner, more concise reports that offer actionable insights for our clients.
  • New Clients: We expanded our support for local businesses in Kamloops by welcoming several new clients to our Grassroots SEO program.

February

  • Triviart Game Launch: We introduced Triviart, an innovative art and trivia hybrid game accessible on both desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Informative Blog Posts: Our team published articles on managed creative control in SEO contracts, the distinction between SEO and CRO, and the benefits of linking social media to websites.

March

  • Media Coverage: A board game project, whose website we supported, was featured in Castanet. We were pleased to see its unique story shared with British Columbians.
  • Website Launches: We successfully launched websites for clients in the counselling and carpentry industries.
  • Educational Content: Our blog featured guides on email management, increasing Google's indexing frequency, and strategies for collecting online testimonials.

April

  • Sensor Technology Milestone: Our sensor, "Vitality," completed a 978-day battery test. The success of this test showcases the durability of our custom-built sensor technology.
  • Data Centre Upgrades: We initiated significant infrastructure upgrades at our Kamloops data centre to better serve our many colocation clients.
  • Website Launches: New websites for cabinetry, real estate, and non-profit organizations went live, reflecting our commitment to small businesses in diverse industries.

May

  • Team Expansion: We welcomed Jackson to our team, who brought expertise in Wordpress development, website and UI design, and social media management.
  • Website Launch: A new website for a BC rural property development client was launched.
  • Insightful Blog Posts: We discussed the importance of integrating SEO into brand guidelines and the benefits of content clusters for enhanced SEO.

June

  • New Team Member: Larissa joined our billing team, aiming to streamline processes for our clients.
  • Infrastructure Expansion: Our colocation team tackled the enormous task of installing 1,400 new hard drives for one of our clients.
  • Website Launches: Along with the launch of Angry Cat Games (the home of our small, in-house, custom-built online games),we introduced websites for local clients in electric vehicle sales and landscaping.

July

  • Team Growth: Wilson joined our development team, enhancing our data analysis and programming capabilities.
  • Website Launches: We launched new websites for local clients in the construction and retail sectors.
  • Data Centre Resilience: Our Kamloops data centre maintained optimal performance during record-breaking heat, ensuring uninterrupted services for our clients.
  • Creation of SCOUT: The tech development team launched the SilverServers Content Optimization Utility Tool (“SCOUT”),a website analysis tool that identifies dead links, evaluates SEO health, lists external links, and flags potentially exposed content. Its findings are compiled into an easy-to-read report for review. Ask us about a SCOUT report for your website!

August

  • Educational Video Series: Our social media team collaborated with Team110 to produce the "All About Stratas" video series, through which Team110 provided valuable insights into strata living and purchasing a home within a strata.
  • SnekTime Launch: We made SnekTime available for the public to play. We had fun designing this game, which is a unique variation of the classic game, “Snake”.
  • Informative Blog Posts: Our articles offered guidance on writing effective testimonials, understanding colocation services, and balancing brand guidelines with SEO.

September

  • SEO Audits: We expanded our services to offer comprehensive SEO audits, providing businesses with in-depth analyses of their online presence.
  • Client Feature: We conducted an SEO audit for a community-focused organization, assisting them in enhancing their digital visibility.
  • Blog Updates: Our team updated articles on the cost implications of cheap SEO and the importance of realistic SEO promises.

October

  • Client Success: Innovative roofing solutions from one of our clients gained significant engagement on social media, demonstrating the power of creative content.
  • Educational Content: We published articles on SEO for auto repair shops and the benefits of incremental website design.

November

  • Social Media Services: We launched our Social Media Management page, which better advertises our social media management services for businesses.
  • Insightful Blog Posts: Our articles covered topics such as setting realistic SEO expectations, looking back at the legacy of Adobe Flash, and handling negative reviews.

December

  • Record-Breaking Sensor Test: Our sensor technology achieved a new milestone with 1,130 days of continuous operation on three D-cell batteries.
  • Educational Blog Posts: We provided guidance on using AI for content creation, understanding website visitor metrics, and recognizing domain registration scams.
