Search Engine Marketing

Paid search ads on Google and Microsoft Advertising (Bing) — sized for small-business budgets, tuned to what your customers actually search for.

Paid search, small-business scale

Paid clicks at the top, while your organic rankings climb underneath.

SEM is paying to appear at the top of search results the moment a buyer types a query. Unlike organic SEO, there’s no waiting — the day the campaign goes live, your ad is in the running.

We run SEM the way a small business should: no oversized campaigns, no dashboards you have to decode, no accounts locked to an agency. You own the Google Ads account either way. Paired with ongoing SEO, paid and organic compound each other.

$500–$3,000/mo ad spend

That’s your spend with the ad platforms, not our fee. Bring what you can — we’ll scope the campaign around it and quote our management separately.

Live in 24 hours, tuned in the first month

Campaign runs within a day of sign-off. The first real click data lands immediately; first tuning pass happens in the following 2–4 weeks.

From brief to first click

A short, specific setup — then the data starts talking.

Three discrete steps from the first call to a live campaign. Most small businesses are in-market inside a week, tuning by the end of the first month.

Step 1 · Brief

What you sell, where you serve, what a customer is worth

A conversation on the phone or in person, not a 40-field form. We leave with enough to scope the keyword universe and map the ad groups to your real service lines.

Step 2 · Keywords & copy

A shortlist, not a spreadsheet dump

We research queries your customers actually type, rank them by intent and cost, and draft the ads around the ones that pay. You approve the shortlist before a cent goes to Google.

Step 3 · Launch & tune

Live within 24 hours, tuned over the first month

Campaign goes live under your Google Ads account. First 2–4 weeks we’re watching which headlines, keywords, and landing pages convert — and cutting what doesn’t.

What tuning actually does

Same service. Same budget. Two different ads.

Paid search is a copy job as much as a bidding job. Here’s the difference between a template ad and a tuned one — using our own hosting service as the example.

Your account, your data, your login

A Kamloops ads team, not a Google-Ads reseller.

The same small team that runs our hosting and SEO programs writes your ads, picks your keywords, and reads your click data. The account sits under your Google login from day one — if you leave, you take the history, the conversion tracking, and the learnings with you. That’s not industry standard. It should be.

Before you start

How much should I budget?

For most SMB campaigns we start in the $500–$3,000/month ad-spend range — that’s spend with the ad platforms. Our management fee is quoted per campaign, sized to the work. The right ad number depends on your service area, the competitiveness of your keywords, and what a customer is worth to you. We’ll work that out together before any campaign launches.

How long until I see leads?

Paid search is immediate in a way organic SEO isn’t. Ads can start showing within 24 hours of launch. Getting the keyword and landing-page fit right usually takes 2–4 weeks of tuning — the first clicks tell us what to adjust.

Can I stop anytime?

Yes. No long contracts. Pause, stop, scale back, or scale up whenever it makes sense. The account stays yours either way.

Will my ads show only in my service area?

Yes — location targeting is one of the first things we set up. Kamloops-only, BC-wide, Canada-wide, or custom zones. Google’s defaults will gladly burn your budget on clicks from the wrong country if you don’t lock this down.

What’s the difference between managed and self-serve?

Managed: we handle setup, ongoing adjustments, and reporting. You see the results, not the dashboard.
Self-serve with guidance: we set up the campaign and teach you the moves, then you run it with check-ins from us as needed.

Tell us the goal, we’ll plan the ads.

What you sell, where you serve, what a customer is worth — that’s the brief. We’ll come back with a budget recommendation, a keyword and location plan, and a starting projection.

Send us a message

A few quick questions so we can come back with something useful — only your name and email are required.

Help us prep · optional
Campaign goal?

Different goals tune to different ad types. Calls and store visits use call/location extensions; lead-gen lives in landing pages.

More to help us prep optional
Geographic scope?

Tighter geo = lower competition = lower cost per click. Tell us where customers actually come from.

Monthly ad budget?

We’re honest about budget floors — under $500/mo and Google won’t have enough data to optimize. We’ll tell you if you’re under-served.

Currently running ads?

If you’re already running, send the account read-only and we’ll diagnose against real data instead of guessing.
