Why here, not a bargain host

The same people who rack the hardware answer the phone when something breaks. Nobody hands your ticket off to a night crew on another continent — because there isn't a night crew on another continent. Pulse wakes us up here, and we respond here.
If the site needs a PHP version bump, a database tuned, a staging copy spun up, or a migration from another host — we do it. It isn't "out of scope" when it's in the same room as the servers.
